Nancy Wilson is a Grammy Award award-winning jazz musician. Nancy Wilson was born on February 20, 1937, in the city of Chillicothe, Ohio to Olden Wilson who worked at an ironworks and Lillian Ryan, a former domestic worker. Nancy was one of six kids. Her father was a music lover and played records in the family. This had a great influence upon her growing up. At the age of 4years old, Nancy was aware she would be a singer. She was able to develop her talents through singing in the choir of her church. She was a finalist on a talent show on TV when she 15 and began performing regularly on the tv program Skyline Melodies while still in high school. She began working in nightclubs at the at the same time. Nancy completed high school at the age of 17 and then attended the Ohio's Central State College, now Central State University for a full year. Then she dropped out to pursue a profession as a professional musician. In 1956 she released her first album with Rusty Bryant's Carolyn Club Big Band. The group toured with Rusty Bryant from 1956 through 1958. Nancy made her debut album through Dot Records during the time she was with the group. Cannonball adderley advised her to travel into New York in order to increase her fame. She went to The Big Town, New York in the year 1959. She was commissioned to sing in The Blue Morocco Night Club in The Bronx and there was a place where Adderley's agent had seen her. He signed a contract the label Capitol records in 1960, and she made her debut that year, with a single. Guess who I saw in the present. Capitol released five Nancy Wilson Albums in 2 years. Adderley encouraged her to shift away from R&B in favor of the torch and jazz genres. Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley's collaboration in 1962 helped to propel her into the spotlight and her hit Tell Me the Truth was released in 1963. In the year following the release, she was being booked at New York's Coconut Grove - the top nightclub in America.

She is best known as the actress who played Chloe Winthrop (the lead) in Netflix's The Kissing Booth. in the ABC Biblical Series Of Kings and Prophets, she played King Saul's daughter Michal.
